The episode starts with Lakshmi returning the mangalsutra to the salesgirl without anyone noticing. Rishi notices her and wonders where she went. He asks the salesgirl about Lakshmi's whereabouts, but she covers for Lakshmi and doesn't reveal anything. Ayush and Shalu join Lakshmi, and they move to a different area.

Vikrant asks about Lakshmi, and Rishi informs him that she was there when he went to buy jewelry for Malishka. Rishi expresses his confusion about Lakshmi's sudden disappearance. Lakshmi arrives with Ayush and Shalu, and Saloni asks her where she was. Lakshmi claims that she was there all along and questions why Malishka didn't inform everyone. Malishka asks Lakshmi where she was when Vikrant arrived, but Lakshmi defends herself, saying she didn't know Vikrant had come. Anjana advises them to drop the matter, and Rishi suggests taking Malishka to select the jewelry. However, Malishka refuses to buy anything.

Anjana shows the mangalsutra to Lakshmi, and Lakshmi likes it. Vikrant gives a blank cheque to the jeweler and asks him to fill in the bill amount. Ayush asks the salesperson about the other mangalsutra, and he reveals that it is scheduled to be delivered to a specific address. Vikrant asks Rishi if his car is repaired, and Rishi confirms it. Vikrant instructs Rishi to take Lakshmi in his car, stating that he has to go in a different direction after dropping his family. Malishka questions this decision, and Vikrant tells her to go along with Rishi. Malishka scolds Lakshmi for interfering, but Lakshmi suggests going with Ayush instead. However, Rishi insists on taking Lakshmi himself, expressing his determination not to let her go away from him.

Ayush and Shalu discuss Vikrant's purchase of two mangalsutras, with one being intended for someone else. They speculate about the possibility of Vikrant having a girlfriend. Anjana and Saloni discuss Rishi and Lakshmi, with Anjana dismissing Saloni's belief that they have a romantic relationship. Vikrant ponders over Malishka's earlier words.

Ayush and Shalu continue waiting outside for the delivery of the package. Lakshmi coughs, and Rishi suggests going to the doctor before heading home. Malishka finds this odd and answers a call from Karishma. Meanwhile, a speeding truck approaches them, and Malishka warns Rishi about it. Rishi quickly turns the car, narrowly avoiding the truck. Karishma overhears the commotion and informs Neelam about the incident. Neelam becomes worried and goes to inform Malishka.

Malishka berates Rishi, claiming that he was focused on Lakshmi while driving and accuses him of prioritizing Lakshmi's life over hers. Lakshmi agrees with Malishka, and Rishi apologizes. Malishka continues to scold Rishi, but he thanks her for saving them all. Rishi asks Lakshmi if she's okay, and she confirms that she is. Malishka thinks to herself that Lakshmi has become a problem for them.
